Only once did I participate in a Black Friday sale at the level of seriousness where I camped out in line in the parking lot somewhere along that fuzzy line of very early in the morning or very late at night. After doing that once, Cyber Monday suddenly took on a whole new meaning.
Save yourself some of that hassle of parking lots, cold weather, long lines and generally grumpy people. We're celebrating all 3 shopping days with our own Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday sale. Save 20% storewide Friday, November 23rd thru Monday, November 26th.
The sale price is valid on all orders with no minimum purchase required, and is available to all customers worldwide. To save 20% on your order, enter the coupon code BF2012 (case sensitive) on the order form in the "redeem code" box. Please note: you must complete the rest of the information on the page before clicking the redeem button, or the discount will not be applied. Don't ask me why - I have no idea.
Spread the word to your friends and support small businesses this holiday season. Click HERE to shop and save 20% on everything storewide!

Oh - and did you check out RissRose2's video on her foundation routine?

The website is back up (sort of). I can pull it up, and can log into my back end, but others are reporting that they are still getting errors trying to bring it up. I can't update, nor can I email, but I can pull orders. So I don't know there are any orders there without randomly checking in, and you might get your order before I can tell you I shipped it, but I'll take what I can get, lol. As always, feel free to call (866) 373-9808 - or post here, and I'll get back to you.
For those of you who are wondering what's up with the website... it's down. Millions of people are affected by a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on Go Daddy. Anonymous (of Wiki-Leaks fame) has now put one of the largest web hosting and registrars in their crosshairs.
What's a DDoS attack, you may ask? Picture thousands of automated bots hitting in rapid fire succession - which results in completely overwhelming the dns servers and causing a total meltdown. Once, many years ago, I worked for a company that was subject to a DDoS attack, and it wasn't pretty. It lasted days, and it was probably a month before everything was completely back to normal. Hopefully, that won't be the case here.
In the meantime, you can purchase some of our items directly from our Facebook page. I'll have to see if I can add more products that way without being able to access my backend on the website. I have no email either, but you can reach me by telephone at (866) 373-9808.
Time for a stiff drink.

At the start of tonight's game, I tweeted that if the Kings win the Cup tonight, I'm throwing a sale tomorrow to celebrate. I'll do anything to make my family happy - even if it means throwing a sale a week before exhibiting at IMATS.
Good things come to those who #believe.

This year, The Makeup Show is offering 3 chance of a lifetime opportunities for the LA show in March. 3 totally brand new experiences I've never seen offered before at any industry show. Whether similar programs will be offered at the other show locations, I don't know - so if you're geographically located where the LA show is equally as feasible, I'd highly suggest hitting the first show of 2012.
So what's so exciting?
Let's start with the "This Town Is Our Town" contest:
Form a beauty team with your pals to combine MUA, hair/fashion & photography, and take advantage of the opportunity to be a part of the show's Launch Event on March 16th. Create a look/image of your interpretation of This Town Is Our Town (Spotlights the beauty/fashion industry of LA, showcasing iconic Hollywood looks), and submit your photo by Feb 17th. Full details can be found on The Makeup Show's blog, but in addition to all finalists images being displayed with full credit throughout the show, the prize package includes publication in the Spring issue of On Makeup magazine, Studio time at Smashbox Studios, personal consultation & portfolio review with each team member by Timothy Priano, a makeup kit hand picked by James Vincent (worth over $1000) for the MUA, and a hair kit sponsored by T3 for the hair stylist on the team, a featured spot on the Makeup Show blog, and free admission to all of the 2012 Makeup Show cities - just to name a few.
Next really cool thing? Click! You're it!":
Sponsored by Smashbox, Create a look. Play with products. Experience a real photo shoot with a Smashbox photographer! Just bring your own model to The Makeup Show LA, book a station and you will get one hour to create a look with insider input from a Smashbox PRO artist. Take home a CD of pro-quality photos from your shoot. You can book an appointment by calling Merlo at (212) 242-1213, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, The Makeup Show will be offering a brand spanking new Professional Resource Area:
Included are seminars, one on one opportunities and forums from some of the biggest names in the industry. Bring your portfolio and pick some brains!
For the full list of keynote speakers and hands on workshops offered at the LA show, click here. Tickets are on sale now, and you can save by buying advance tickets by March 15th. Ticket information is on The Makeup Show's website here.

Make-Up Artist Magazine, a top resource for innovative make-up techniques and the latest industry news and trends (published by Key Publishing Group - the producers of IMATS) is an industry standard.
