I first met Melissa Street at the Makeup Show in LA when I was part of the beauty blogger's panel. Melissa is a professional makeup artist (check out her work at http://www.epicmakeup.com/) veteran of 20 years, and specializes in High Definition and special effects makeup. It's no secret that most mineral makeup does not photograph well. The zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that isn't visible to the naked eye will reflect the light and give a whitish cast. Pitty, since most the stuff that works well for photography isn't very comfortable, nor the slightest bit decent for your skin. Melissa and I started yapping on Twitter (shocker), and I sent her some samples to try out. Mostly, I sent them for her personal use, as well as for her daughter's. I never expected her to try them professionally! Well, ok, I did send her one product to try on High Definition (it's super secret because I'm not carrying it yet; she was my tester) as it should be superior to MUFE HD powder.
Today, she posted on her blog InMyProfessionalOpinion, a review of my products. Did I know she was doing a review? You bet. Did I know she was doing a review of the whole kit and kaboodle on
- Silk & Pearl Powder Primer
- Foundation
- Blushing blush
- Cream to Powder eye shadows
- Loose powder shadows both in matte and shimmer shades
How did I fare? I'm not gonna tell you. Go read it here. And follow Melissa on Twitter (@InMyProOpinion).
